Message from Chairman, HRM Awards 2010

Once again the time has come to honour women and men who are striving to keep Sri Lanka’s image flying high in an environment where Globalisation and liberalization in international trade continue to create a revolution of free flow movement of capital, information and human capital.

Sri Lanka’s economy has made some progress over the years despite the unfriendly business environment. The need to enhance the country competitiveness is of great importance to withstand forces of change and compete amidst complexities in a challenging era. We must fast forward our efforts and respond to the changing of market needs through sheer commitment, innovative and differentiated products offerings, excellent service quality and superior level of HR efficiency.

The Association of Human Resources Professionals (AHRP) the pioneers of recognizing these invaluable efforts have yet again with the strong partnerships of the cream of Sri Lankan business community, Academia, International experts and practicing Knights of the HR Profession, modelled HRM Awards 2010.

As the Chairman of the HRM Awards 2010 I wish to thank HNB, the Media Sponsors and all other sponsors for placing their faith with HRP and making the HR Week 2010 a reality.
